John Chamberlayne translated this letter for the Royal Society; Royal Society, Letter Book, 16. It was ordered to be translated at the 22 June 1721 (O.S.) meeting of the Royal Society, Journal Book, vol. 13, p. 113, but it was not read until the 21 March 1723 meeting, Royal Society, Journal Book, vol. 13, p. 272.
At the end of the letter, Leeuwenhoek wrote, "Because for a year and more I have not been informed whether you, Very Noble Sirs, continue to print the things that have been sent to you, Very Noble Sirs, I would like to know this."
